Tomas Simmer was born in Estonia surrounded by the beauty of Northern nature. 

In his youth he relocated to Saint Petersburg, a city rich in cultural heritage. Exploring its palaces and museums ignited his fascination with various visual art forms.

In the early 2000s, as Saint Petersburg witnessed a surge in the appreciation of international contemporary art, Tomas found himself immersed in this burgeoning scene. This period marked the genesis of his exploration into oil painting, with his earliest creations finding homes in private collections. His evolving artistic journey saw him delving deeper into the realms of form and expression.
